Hali'i Kai by Polu Resorts

We spent 10 amazing days at Hali'i Kai by Polu Resorts celebrating our 30 anniversary. Fortunate enough to stay in unit 14C which is an ocean front, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom property. It was an excellent location and the unit was gorgeous and meticulously cleaned and ready for our stay. The master bed was extremely comfortable as well as the pillows and bedding. The walk-in shower was very nice with great water pressure. The complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion smelled wonderful and suited our needs. The united was fully stocked with everything we need to cook dinner two nights out of stay and to have breakfast every morning. Nice kitchen with great appliances, filtered water in the refrigerator, and a Weber BBQ gas grill. It was lovely to eat on the lanai in the morning and when we had our two BBQ dinners (fish and steak). There was also a closet of beach gear, that I am sure families would use but we did not need anything from it this time around. It was great to have a laundry room to wash all of our clothes before heading home. The community is very secure as it is gated and quiet. The community pool is lovely (very comfortable temp for early Nov), as well as the hot tub. Many restaurants, golf courses, grocery stores, and shopping near by in Waikoloa as well as other communities, Mauna Lani, and cities, Kona and Waimea. We traveled to Hilo and VNP for one day and that was very doable. We took advantage of the lava rock walking path outside our unit that took us to 49 Black Sand Beach. We rented snorkel gear for the week from Snorkel Bob's and he suggested this wonderful location, as well as Kahula Beach. The same path went in the other direction, past the Hilton and the views were lovely! Both excellent snorkeling with easy entry points. James, the host of Polu Resorts, is very attentive, gracious, and polite. He goes above and beyond for his clients to make sure their stay is top-notch. I would book a unit with Polu Resorts again, as this high-end, personalized experience was exceptional.

From the moment we arrived, this condo exceeded every expectation. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and felt like a true home away from home. Waking up to sunshine, quiet and ocean breezes thr patio quickly became our favorite spot for coffee in the am, or cocktails in the pm. The location couldn’t have been better — close to pristine beaches, great restaurants, and easy access to everything we wanted to explore. After long days of adventure, coming back to such a peaceful and comfortable retreat made the trip feel even more special. The amenities were top-notch: a fully equipped kitchen, cozy living area, fast Wi-Fi, and thoughtful touches throughout. It was clear the hosts put a lot of care into making guests feel welcome. This condo truly elevated our Hawaiian vacation. If you’re looking for the perfect place to stay, look no further — we can’t wait to return!

This is a beautiful well-maintained and equipped unit with a wonderful view across the golf course to the ocean and sunsets. It's on the 2nd floor so it's quiet and private. We worked with James of Polu Resorts who was very accommodating to our time schedule and easily accessible. We felt like we had a personal concierge. We've stayed at Halii Kai in the past and this is our favorite unit.

5-Star Review for #19 Hali'i Kai - A Christmas Dream! Our 4-day stay at #19 Hali'i Kai over Christmas 2025 was absolutely perfect—truly a dream vacation! From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special. The condo itself is stunning. The large rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the separate bedroom suites were an ideal setup for privacy and relaxation. Every corner of the space was beautifully designed, with a gorgeous kitchen that made cooking a joy, not that we cooked much. The kitchen was stocked with top-notch utensils and appliances, so we felt right at home. The grounds surrounding the property are lush and meticulously maintained. You could tell a lot of care goes into keeping the place looking pristine, with vibrant greenery everywhere you look. It truly felt like we were in a tropical paradise. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredibly attentive manager of condo #19, James. From the moment we checked in, and even before we checked in, he was available to help with anything we needed and made sure our stay was seamless and stress-free. His personalized service went above and beyond what we expected. We also had an amazing experience with Bikeworks! They were so affordable and the staff was incredibly helpful in finding the perfect bike for me. The bike itself was beautiful—well-maintained, easy to ride, and made exploring the area a breeze. Another memorable part of our vacation was the in-room massage from Sarah with Tiara Massage. It was the ultimate way to unwind after a day of sightseeing, and the relaxation it provided was the cherry on top of an already perfect trip. To top it all off, we took advantage of the grocery delivery service James organized, which was a total game changer. It made our stay even more effortless, allowing us to enjoy leisurely breakfasts without worrying about shopping. This vacation was more relaxing and enjoyable than we could have ever imagined. The combination of the beautiful condo, amazing amenities, and attentive service truly made it a getaway we’ll never forget. Highly recommend!

We just wrapped up a New Year’s week stay at Haliʻi Kai 8D, and everything exceeded our expectations, from the view and unit cleanliness to the ease of check-in/check-out, decor, beach gear, and bath products. The pool and restaurant just down the street from the unit were also a great option to have, and the Haliʻi Kai condo development as a whole was very nice if you’re planning to stay in the Waikoloa area. Our host, James with Polu Resorts, was top-notch, and it’s clear he has a genuine passion for hospitality. A great overall experience!

We had a wonderful 9 day stay at Hali’i Kai! Our host James with Polu Resorts could not have been nicer or more accommodating and made sure we had everything needed for our stay in 8D. The view is amazing and we loved sitting out on the lanai morning and night. The beds are very comfortable and the luxurious bamboo sheets were a special treat. We’ve stayed at several high-end vacation rentals in exclusive resorts, and Hali’i Kai Unit 8D was the cleanest and best stocked, including local snacks (box of chocolate covered Macadamia nuts became a nighty dessert ritual). Now managed by Polu Resorts, Unit 8D looked brand new compared to a 9-year-ago stay in the same unit. James at Polu Resorts was super responsive with informative e-mails before our stay and quick responsive texts during our stay. Thanks to his recommendations, we saw the 41st episode of the Kilauea fountain eruption (posted picture as proof). With his connections, James also scored us a last-minute reservation at Lava Lava Beach Club with an ocean-side table on the sand at sunset. Polu Resorts is setting a high standard that other property management companies will likely not meet.

We can't say enough about this condo. It was beautifully decorated and clean. The location is amazing, right in front of the ocean with a patio gazing at the waves. The unit is a 2 minute walk to the clubhouse with a beautiful pool and restaurant. The owner/management company were super responsive to us, delivering extra beach chairs and umbrellas for the beach. The location of the condo is in a great area called Waikoloa village which has a gourmet grocery store that is 5 minutes away. The village also has restaurants and a movie theater. It is centrally located on the Kona coast for access to many great beaches within a 15 minute drive. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in a heartbeat!
